A Christmas Special from Brian and Doreen at Simply Dancing. Ballroom, Latin and Salsa music played non stop all evening from 7.30 to 11pm for you to practice your steps, revive your routines, or simply make room for the onslaught of Christmas festive food about to hit us over the coming weeks. Thursday, December 20th - It's our last classes and private lessons of 2007!!
Last chance to make some room for the coming onslaught of Turkey and Mince Pies! We are at Cowden for the last time this year with beginners and improvers classes as normal and private lessons for those that have booked. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year everyone and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2008! Our first classes for 2008 will start again on Saturday, 5th January 2008 with children's classes and private lessons at Westerham Hall. Adult classes will be back to normal as from Monday, 7th January - see you then and remember there is a chance to work off some of the Christmas excess with Brian and Doreen from Simply Dancing on December 30th at Wivelsfield Village Hall.

Work that Turkey off! Simply Dancing are back at Wivelsfield Village Hall, Eastern Road, Wivelsfield Green, RH17 7QQ. If your waistline has expanded, go along and waltz it away. Saturday, 5th January 2008 - Classes and lessons restart from today at Westerham Hall
Welcome back after Christmas and the New Year!! We are back to normal today with Children's classes and private lessons restarting at Westerham Hall.
Monday, 7th January 2008 - Adult classes restart as from today, Happy New Year!
All our Adult classes and lessons restart as normal from today please see our weekly itinerary page for the complete schedule with times and locations of each class. If you have never danced before our beginners classes are ideal even if you do have two left feet, take some inspiration from the celebrities who have recently challenged for last years 'Strictly' title and come and have a go it's fabulous fun and also a great way to keep fit. For those wishing to improve on what they may have already learned we look forward to seeing you all again for another fun year.

The Star Championships 2008 featuring an Invitation ProAm Showcase and Star Amateur and Professional Ballroom and Latin American Championships presented by the Ballroom Dancers' Federation. Venue: Effingham Park Copthorne Hotel, Copthorne, West Sussex, RH10 3EU. First row tickets £30 and rest of the tickets in advance only £20 (Tickets on the door only will be £22.50 on the night).
Friday, 15th to Sunday 17th February 2008 (inclusive) - Camber Sands Dance Festival
Camber Sands Dance Festival. Len Goodman's fabulous weekend of Ballroom and Latin-American dance competitions commencing on the Friday evening and concluding on the Sunday evening for those that have won there way through to the Four dance finals for the weekend. A superb weekend with excellent dancing and fun for all the family including fancy dress competitions on the Saturday evening. We have now received the entry and booking forms and would recommend completing them early to secure a good chalet.

I.D.T.A Nationwide Medallist of the Year 2008. National Finals held in the fabulous Empress Ballroom in the Wintergardens, Blackpool. An exciting opportunity to compete for National honours against the top twelve people from each region in England and Wales. Congratulations and best of luck to all those that have put in such hard work and been successful in securing the chance to participate and hopefully become the Nationwide Medallist of the Year.
Sunday, 11th May - Juvenile/Junior Spring Festival
N.A.T.D Spring Medallist festival for children. A complete day of competitions with singles and couples events and lots of fun. More details to be announced as soon as available. Venue: K2 Leisure Centre
Monday, 6th October 2008 (to be confirmed) - Demonstration
'The Night of 100 Stars' presented by the Ballroom Dancers' Federation at the Effingham Park Copthorne Hotel, Copthorne, West Park Road, West Sussex, RH10 3EU. A spectacular evening of entertainment from some of the World's best Ballroom and Latin American dancers in cabaret, incredibly inspirational!! The exact date and ticket costs are unlikely, based on past experience, to be announced until May/June 2008. But as tickets go quickly when released talk to Angela if you are keen to join us and we will keep a list of all that are interested in order to secure tickets as soon as available.
Thursday, 9th October 2008 - 56th 'Open' International Championships at the Royal Albert Hall
No classes at Cowden tonight, as a big group of us will be attending the culmination of competions which commenced earlier this week for a place in the 56th International Championships being danced at the Albert Hall. For all those coming doors at the Albert Hall will open at 5pm and the competition will conclude at 12.30am. Competitions featured will be the International Professional Standard (Ballroom) and Professional Latin and International Amateur Standard and Amateur Latin Championships. Be prepared to be Wowed!!

I.D.T.A South East area medallist competition and qualifying heats for Adults (everyone over the age of 16!!) in Ballroom and Latin-American for next year's Nationwide Medallist of the Year Finals in Blackpool. We believe that the venue for the heats/competitions will be at the Olympos Leisure Centre, Pasture Hill Road, Haywards Heath, Sussex, RH16 1LY, Times, cost of tickets and details of competitions on the day will be posted as soon as available. Will you be one of the top 12 in your age group to represent the South East area at the Nationwide Medallist of the Year 2009 at the fabulous Empress Ballroom in the Wintergardens, Blackpool?
Friday, 31st October to 3rd November inclusive - 'Supadance National Finals 2008'
This will be a fantastic weekend of dancing, with an incredible and electric atmosphere, guaranteed to inspire. Pleasingly the venue for this year is back in the South and will be the Pontins Camber Sands Holiday Centre, New Lydd Road, Camber Sands, near Rye, East Sussex, TN31 7RL. Booking forms are unlikely to be available until the middle of 2008. Our teams in 2007 were very successful with our Under 16's, Division 2 Adults and Division 1 and 2 Over 35's all qualifying to dance in the Finals. Will we defend our Title as National Champions for the Division 2 Over 35's? Will we go one better and become the National Champions in Division 2 Adults and Division 1 Over 35's? All those interested we need to register you as competitors as soon as possible.
