As an established member of the National Association of Teachers of Dance (N.A.T.D) DanceXpress is able to provide a structured process of learning with the opportunity if desired to participate in examinations/medal tests for every age and ability level. The NATD is an international organisation and a non-profit making body devoting itself to the promotion of dance in numerous forms, which include; Ballroom and Latin-American, which DanceXpress specialises in. The NATD was founded in 1906 and today boasts a membership of around 2000 schools internationally.
As with the examination sessions that we participate in with the International Dance Teachers' Association (I.D.T.A), taking an exam/medal test with the National Association of Teachers of Dance (N.A.T.D) will enable you to take part in medallist competitions held by the N.A.T.D and some external organisations such as Supadance League (details of which you can find on our dedicated web page to the Supadance League), or indeed Len Goodman's (Head Judge - Strictly Come Dancing) very popular Camber Sands Dance Festival in February each year. Exams/medal tests are available for all ages and grades of ability from the casual, but keen Social Dancer or beginner, to the most advanced competitor.
For details of the classes and private lessons available at our studio locations in Westerham and Cowden in Kent and Highbrook near Haywards Heath in Sussex please have a look at our 'Weekly Itinerary' page of this website. For details of the character of and some of the history behind each dance please take a look at our 'Dance Styles' page.
As chairman of the London area for the NATD and also a qualified examiner, Angela is instrumental in organising events for both teachers and school principals to attend to enhance their knowledge and overseeing their students through examinations at all levels from social dancer to professional. Angela is also involved in arranging the very popular competitive medallist events for students from juvenile up to senior age groups to attend.
